edmund was affectionatly know by the nickname " steady eddie " which was given to him through playing in the pool league in downpatrick where he lived from when he was born, until his death. He had 10 children ( a son which was lost in pregnancy ) who he adored equally, his life evolved around his family and friends ( and enjoying his few pints of guinness) and listening to his idol elvis presley. he developed cancer around october 2006 and although he was told that there was nothing that could be done for him ...he faced and fought his illness with incredible courage... " steady eddie " passed away on the 29th march 2007 , and judging by the large turnout at his funeral,he is and will be very sorely missed
